深井泵如圖5-44所示。由于受深井管徑大小的限制，其吐出室為導流殼，故徑向減小，軸向加長，以滿足工況要求，其長度從幾十米到一百多米，有一種吊泵甚至長幾百米。深井泵由若干根軸和連接管組成，連接管與連接管或殼與殼連接有螺紋(見圖5-44右圖)和法蘭連接(見圖5-47) 兩種，而軸與軸連接有螺紋連接(見圖5-44)或卡環套連接(見圖5-47)， 統稱軸聯軸器。螺紋連接用于小泵。深井泵軸向力及泵自重均由電動機來承受。
